offered a solid-state IPA retrofit for the FM-20K.

I installed one of these at WDJX's FM25K in 2002.  Fairly simple and
straightforward, took me about four hours.  I tried finding a place in the
transmitter to put the 600 watt amp, built by Silicon Amps, but it was too
big and heavy and wound up putting it in the rack next to the transmitter.
Just in the nick of time, too.  I lost two of the stock IPA modules the day
before installing the retrofit.
