He should consider himself lucky .. he arrived at the site to find the
crew still there, and they admitted that it was their fault... now it
wont come out of his pocket.
I recently had an Electrician ( IBEW) come to my site to install a
Voltage/current meter
and I was on my way to the site. when the station went off the air..
the kid defeated the Power interlock switch on the back of the
transmitter and opened the back door with the transmitter still on to
hook up the CT coils.. He had No idea of the Voltages inside. Thank gd
when the transmitter door is opened. there is an RF interlock that
shorts the Antenna output. good thing he didnt blowup the transmitter.
and the SWR trip shut it down.
Why is it People who dont know what they are working on Do dumb things
and play with their lives. My phone # was Posted Right on the back door
of the transmitter...( Call If access is Needed) I could just Picture
it me walking into the site and seeing this young Electrician with 2
young kids laying on the floor cooked.... How do you explain to his
Family he died Because
 of his stupidity.....
