Back 50 years ago WASH(FM) had a seldom used studio at their 
transmitter location.  They had some trouble with transmitted audio 
appearing in the console.  They had 15 kW ERP with a 4-bay RCA Pylon- 
which I think was symmetricaly fed.  The antenna was on a 300-ft tower 
immediately next to the building. As far as I know the 3-kW 
transmitter itself didn't leak badly though it was assembled by Ray 
Rosenberg from baskets of parts that Ev Dillard bought from RCA.
