I agree about AM  too high expectations. A 16 kilobit digital signal 
carrying 7 K of well processed mono would still be an amazing 
improvement over analog AND it would not trash the neighbors, not evan 
as much as a standard analog, if done properly. This could easily be 
another Ibiquity mode not a new system.
