Ok, first, we're not "voting" here. Discuss (or not) at your convenience.
And from a
technical (but not IBOC experienced) perspective, I see no way to work
around this
technical problem. I offered a "what if, would this work?" technical
approach idea to
both Frank Foti and Bob Orban a while back. One thought it might have some
possibilities,
the other said it wasn't likely to be doable.

So, there we stand. It seems that an idea (that from a technical standpoint
if it had been done
correctly from the start would have been a great improvement to radio) was
pushed through
without concern to the interim operation of AM radio.

Now, I've been watching this IBOC technology develop for years, have been
listening to the
gnashing of teeth over it's implementation for months and months, and still
nothing is improved
from the stepping all over the neioghbor's lawn perspective. I don't see how
we can "fix" it without
a lot of blood-letting. I don't see that as being either right or helpful to
radio in general. Some will
benefit, most will not.

So, if you have something to say that will resolve the interference problem,
please, speak up. I for one
would REALLY like to hear it. If you have ideas that are not going to fix
it, but are observations or
opinions, still speak up, I like to hear it all. Something will come of all
this discussion. Always does.
