In *theory* it should not. However, I didn't intend for
anyone to take the comment seriously. <ggg> I replied
to one of Rich'e posts in a similar vein to his IBUZ style. ;-)

I can see the problem in a multi-path environment where
theory and flat land tests are somewhat suspect as real
world representations.
Recall also, that for stations (if there are any) using the
8kHz analog option, the radio "blends" on loss of either
sideband. This encourages using only the 5 kHz audio b/w
option where, at least in theory, one sideband of digital
is sufficient.
