I think you should be concerned. Before you do the other half of the
thinking, I'd see an attorney. You're proposing to do something that
might damage the perceived value of their property. I believe the
tower we put up in Boston ran into a similar situation. So far as I
know, the tower's owner won the lawsuit over falling ice.
I also remember someone who bought a car that was a lemon. He put a
sign on the car. The manufacturer sued him. They won. You never can
tell how a judge or jury will see the situation. One of the TV
stations on our tower didn't reinforce the roof of their transmitter
building. A chunk of ice nearly went through the roof. I avoided
going to WJIB's site (that tower) in the Winter. There's a candelabra
on top with a lot of area for ice.
