Music-wise, they are playing some things that aren't seeing the light of day
in NYC. As a listener yearning for content I want to hear that doesn't end
with Clarkson or Eyed Peas, it is a refershing change.

It is day two and while nobody is more critical of programmers (and HD
tech) than I, I do say give them a chance... at least something is there.
The questions is, how does one promote this on the main channel? (and a
note: the HD radio link should be towards the TOP of your page, not the
bottom as it is on the NYC CC websites).

Listeners want choices and from a listener standpoint, since my choices in
NYC are no longer being programmed on conventional radio, I look forward to
enjoying CBS-FM HD2 and the other offerings. From someone who enjoys audio,
the codecs will bother me, but I figure that those who aren't audiophiles
will tolerate it to listen to it.

HD is not about improved sound... maybe on FM if you factor the lack of
pre-emphasis and noise... HD is about increased choices for listeners and
revenue for broadcasters. And what's funny is that AM is left out in the
cold again because the digital stayed IN BAND.
