[BC] Spread spectrum blivot...

I cannot tell you how many times I've been told that by it's very 
nature spread spectrum or frequency hopping is immune from 
interference and (also) by it's very nature will not cause 
interference.  Recently I've started receiving calls from production 
houses that they are experiencing dropouts in their digital wireless 
cameras and microphones operating in the 5.8 GHz region.  Quite often 
I find that it's the result of cordless phones and other devices 
operating nearby in these bands.  Wireless laptops used on production 
sites are quite in fashion.  Signals are signals no matter their 
duration.  With higher throughput the interference looks even longer 
in duration.  The spectrum is loading up nicely and the noise floor is rising.
