Speaking of Mini-disks, I have about 5-6 real nice Sony rackmount units (broadcast quality with
XLR's) that are collecting dust if anyone is interested. They are about a single rack unit hign
and have remote control, etc. I can get you the exact model number if anyone wants them. They were
in use every day until retired about 6-8 months ago. We got them from a staiton we added to our
group last fall. They were using them for an automation system. Send me an off-list message for
inquiries. FWIW: I also have 4-5 consoles (Radio systems, Autogram, LPB, etc.) for sale.
Thanks!

I have not tried it the HI-MD, but I do have mini-discs. With the proper
care, they will last.
(Space so you can calm down after laughing)
The problem with mini-discs is the end user and the fact that you have
moving parts. I've seen them jammed and screwed up in more ways imaginable
The problem becomes more difficult when you consider that the portable
memory recorders out there for field work are not for the electronically
challenged (like the AEQ device).
HHB has this mic/recorder for $1200 that is vaporware right now. Right now,
there really isn't anything that is durable/simple to use.
