Report: iPod Trouble Ahead for Sat Radio?

While some on Wall Street and devoted subscribers keep singing the
praises of satellite radio, at least one publication is questioning
the future of the multi-million customer technology.

In its online edition last week, BusinessWeek took on satellite radio
companies Sirius and XM, suggesting rival technologies and services
popping up may challenge the DARS business. In particular,
BusinessWeek said Apple's iPod could create headaches for the two services.

BusinessWeek refers to the Jan. 10 debut of Apple's first
iPod-related radio product, an FM remote for iPod nano and the
fifth-generation iPod. The iPod Radio Remote allows users to skip
tracks and listen to FM radio stations.

"It could be a sign that Apple, long pressured to combine iPod with a
radio service, has finally chosen its technological path," the
publication states.
