[BC] newsroom software

Thanks to everyone who helped with information about newsroom 
software.  There are some new products that I need to get more familiar 
with so I can teach this class effectively, and I appreciate everyone's 
feedback.  When I was on the air, as I said, I was an announcer, and while 
I have done a lot of writing and researching for radio (and have been a 
guest on a number of programs where they wanted somebody to talk about 
broadcasting history), I've been busy getting my PhD and haven't kept up 
with the ever-changing state of the art.

I've mentioned this before-- I wonder if the older announcers and 
newspeople ever feel overwhelmed (not that they would admit it) by all the 
new technology.  When I was on the air, the engineers took care of whatever 
equipment there was, and the announcers mainly had to know which buttons to 
push...
