I honestly mean no offense, but I've heard this excuse every single 
time something new rears its head. "Can't tell ya, but it's all new 
and it'll make your head spin." Each time, my head has continued to 
face forward as the predictions turned out to be overhyped and never 
met the expectations the hype caused. "It will be going in an all new 
direction" usually means they're scrambling to figure out what to do.

The marketing success of satellite radio comes from taking chances, 
having programming in place and promoting the daylights out of it. I 
don't think it has anything to do with technology in listeners' 
minds. I agree that SIRIUS' programming is better (except the utility 
jocks). More elegantly produced. I don't think the technical quality 
of one vs. the other means a thing.
