They don't have to learn. They have a very receptive administration
that owes them a bundle. Religious fanatics wanted him off radio onto
subscription. That happened and he made a killing. Rewarded
handsomely. Very annoying to the most pure among us. Now they feel
that censorship of subscription services is a possibility as Congress
kisses religious butts. Some Congressmen are already making noises
about applying the same censorship to cable and satellite as we have
on radio. I expect they'll talk the talk to appease the bluenoses.
Until the Abramoff scandal I would have thought industry lobbyists
would be able to buy politicians off as usual. Now I'm not so sure.
When Newt Gingrich says the system needs reform you really know it's
out of control.
The certainty that money talks is less certain until the scandal
blows away. It's a terrible thing when people have fun. It must be
stopped at all costs. In about 6 months we can start contributing
money to politicians and all will be normal again.
