If you care to experience it, you can simulate it... take the cover off of
your computer. (The computer, itself, not the monitor.) Tune a radio to a
moderately clear station (one that isn't, say, a mile away, running 100KW, but not
one that's barely audible, either) and bring it over to the open computer case.
Move the radio closer, until the hash covers the signal to whatever degree
you wish. With AM, move the radio back and forth, to simulate skywave effects.
(Note- most modern computers generate their RFI at VHF freqs, so it may not
necessarily cause the "white noise" effect.)

That's about what IBUZ sounds like to 99.999995% of us.
(There are, what, 500 IBUZ-receiver radios out there?)

There is also a link on Barry's OLDRADIO site. It's an MP3 file, and the
demonstration is quite dramatic. You go from complete hash to a virtually
crystal-clear signal when the IBUZ station shuts-off it's hash generator at 6pm local.

It's the "killer app" alright... emphasis on *killer*.

Willie...
