For sure. If they were *Engineers* in that van, they might... but then, maybe 
there was a GM or a PD in there, too, who said "You better not".

In any case, that's not just a lack of manners... it's deplorable.

If I saw a radio station van (regardless of who it was) I'd do *something* to 
help, time-permitting. Time NOT permitting, I could at least affer to make a 
phone call. (If they didn't already have a phone or 2-way radio, but that's 
unlikely.)
