Willie,
  Go to your local home center super store and buy one of those extendable 
painter's handles...the kind that extends from 6 ft to
10 ft.,  or maybe from 8 ft to 14 ft, and also purchase a screw-on type 10" 
stiff-bristle scrub brush, (or squeegee as someone else has suggested).  I 
have been able to reach to the top of all my dishes with this setup.
