[BC] Turntables (WAS:Achieving good S/N)

I only carry a laptop, amp, wireless mike and two speakers with me.  The
laptop mixes the microphone, digilink free has three playback decks that has
a playback queue for requests people want (have a short memory), it blends
one song into another the way I want and it's free.  I don't scratch, have
enough queue burns on my records as it is..

I haven't lugged around CD's or Vinyl for years...

All the other DJ's look at what I have and start asking stupid questions
like "how'd you do that".

I use the same laptop and program to do my oldies show on Friday nights and
have about 5K songs in the library...

The program does look interesting but not what I need.  Thanks anyway..  :-)

Now if I can find a wireless mike that is 801.32G wow.....  The laptop has a
built in wireless G card..

If you like not having to carry vinyl around look into Final Scratch by
Stanton ( http://www.stantondj.com/v2/fs/index.asp )  It uses either special
records or CD's they supply you with that basically have time code on them.
You 'play' the records or the CD's on regular DJ equipment but the audio
that its controlling is an MP3, wav, etc file on your laptop.  Real easy to
setup at gigs and beats lugging around crates of vinyl or books of CD's.
It'd give you a lot more control then that Digilink Free software your using
now which looks like its more of less just a jukebox type thing not a 'real'
DJ program.
