How about a de-icing rig for the dish? Or if you do not want to spend
that much moola...Home Depot sells a pipe warmer kit that we secured to
the rear of the dish in a looping pattern with aluminum tape. We had to
turn it on manually but it worked.

Here in Ohio we get our fair share of snow in the satellite dishes and
I've
found that a large floor squeegee on a telescoping pole (found at any
home
center) works much better than a broom.
