The tracking error problem is why I liked the Zero 100, a good idea for its
time but to much turntable rumble and other mechanical noise (a rim drive).
So I am going to order the Stanton ST-100 with the S tone arm. From what
everyone said it will do the job as 80% of what I am putting to digital are
old 45s but will be doing some LP's both old rock and some classical (1812
Festival Overture, (the original scoring), Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra).
The next project is a RAID 5 to keep it all on. At the moment I am using a
mirrored pair of hard drives. With this server I can use my network to
access the music library by any other computer in the house. The RAID 5
will also be serving video but I gotta get it in there first and want it to
be the best I can afford.
I did a RAID 1 for WESR's Imedia server for the AM and FM...

unless you plan on moonlighting as a hip hop DJ, then stay away from the
straight arm model, hip hop guys are big on them because they dont slip out
of the grooves in a record as much while they are scratching real fast but
thats about the only reason you'd want one.
it looks like an interesting table though-- I like the SPDIF output and as
far as I know its one of the only models that comes with the backwards play
ability-- in the past theres a mod you had to make to a 1200 to get that
feature.
