They must have done that after I left.  ISTR a very small, 2-room building, the front being office space and the back room housing the transmitter, board, etc.  It was pretty cramped.  Right, it was up on a little rise, just off Cook Street, across from where Palm Desert High School is now.  There is presently some construction going on at the site, but I don't know what for.
