logical to rebuild the tower in a less  populous area.

Not that many years ago the KFI tower was a fenced in area with none of  
those warehouses. At the time the station was owned by Cox.  After Cox  built a 
shopping center on the WSB AM proerity in Atlanta is when the deals were  made 
for the warehouses at KFI.  This was before the present owners as I  recall.
 
I would imagine they installed a new ground system like in Atlanta.
 
Any comments from the KFI engineers on this page.  Newcomb???
