Mercury Records (famous for the Minneapolis S.O. Recording of the 1812 with
Dorati conducting) was also into the 35mm Magnetic film recording bit. BTW,
the Mercury recording of The 1812 Festival Overture is still considered by
many to be the definitive recording of the work by P.I.T. Also by many
audiophiles. Happy I have a vinyl of that one in good shape.
