1290 and 1340 (3.73%) might take the prize! There must be a reason for the
tightest AM multiplexes being in places like Santa Barbara and Honolulu:
Broadcast towers are anathema in paradise.

Sometime within the last year or two, Scott did one or two episodes of Tower
Site of the Week in and around Santa Barbara. I don't recall any special
mention of the 1290/1340/1490 triplex, though. A photo of the filter
networks, though not scenic, might be interesting.

Scott--you should also consider a working vacation in Hawaii. I suspect,
however, that while exterior shots of all those Honolulu AM multiplexes
might be fun--and scenic--the interesting part for us AM techno geeks would
be inside the buildings and the ATU shacks.
