We use Stanton ST-100 turntables for studio airplay and CD archiving. They
are direct drive, but very quiet and accurate. The Stanton 680HP cartridge
gives good strong bass for direct digital recording. The Stanton has built
in digital audio outputs to connect right to your PC sound card so there is
no analog preamp noise or distortion. The tables go for about $299 and the
680HP cartridge is another $100.
