No offense to Tom but the Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer
isn't the person to determine what the station's salable coverage
should be. AT XTRA (transmitter south of Tijuana in Rosarito Beach)
we made a lot of money selling Los Angeles. Even at WOR, the national
numbers included anything that could be credited to WOR, even in
Philadelphia. Our national sales reps included those out of market
numbers in determining rates. As I've said before, I couldn't
affiliate the WOR Network in Philadelphia because the WOR signal
could be received in WPHT's parking lot. At times WOR appeared below
the line (outside the market) in the Philadelphia book. Out of market
results were give an X code and would be included, no matter where
they came from. Every diary mention means something.

Once IBUZ oozes throughout the country Tom will be correct, since no
one's signal will be receivable beyond it's local market. He won't
make that decision. The Laws of Physics will.
