I was just listening to equipment tests from another 1580 last night.
It was a recording of WHEX, Columbia, PA made in the mid-70's while
they were adjusting their audio processing. They made it very clear
that they were on for equipment tests, announcing it every 10-15 min.
I have a half hour recording of another night where they were again
making adjustments w/o the announcements.
This 500w daytimer had pre-sunrise authority and one of two studio
locations at the largest shopping mall in PA. Their processing was
rather good for the day.
They were protected to the south by WPGC but still had interference issues.
