I know for a long time, KAAY had some kind of transmitter problem and was
operating at reduced power.  Since I rarely hear them anymore, was just
wondering if they powered back up to their 50KW

I often hear KAAY at night around here (MN/IA border area).

50KW non-d daytime, 50kw 3-tower directional night (from a quick CDBS
query).

Looking at the polar plot of the night pattern I'm not at all surprised they
come in well a lot of nights.
