Brandeis University's station (WBRS)had one of these CCA 8000A's in service
until a few years ago....The front panel was grey and the removable bezel
black.

Versa Count was owned by two guys, Al Williams and another who's name escapes
me. They were based in Elk Grove Village, IL., and made exciters, DA's and 300
and 150 watt FM transmitters. Their exciter was quite advanced for its time;
it was much like the FX-30 and MS-15, but was marketed at least 5 years before
them.

Al's partner died in the early '80's and he could not continue the company.

A tad off topic, but I was surprised recently when I came across an Orban 800
that had the standard panel replaced with a CCA panel.
