I remember that that only lasted for about '2' months as the second chopper 
was leased rather than owned and had a Ch. 2 paint job identical to their 
owned one.  When not reporting for the station it did other jobs, such as 
haul Christmas trees out of the nursery to a collection point.  One day the 
load line snapped dumping the trees and whiping up into the main rotor 
causing the chopper to crash.  End of the "Power of 2" campaign.

I remember that while KATU was running its "Power of 2" campaign KPTV-12 
started a promo of a full screen shot of their one chopper, going to split 
screen showing two choppers, then split again to show four, then 8 until 
they had 12 choppers on screen.  I don't remember the voice content for the 
promo though.
