My JVC TV has a readout that says what program is on for most channels but
not all. What is listed in real time is often in error. On the NBC
affiliate in Portland OR. it usually reads "The Tonight Show" all day long.
The other day the NBC and CBS affiliates were swapped for a short time so I
don't know if the cable company put's in the info or the station does, which
I doubt as I don't think the CBS affiliate would say they're NBC and visa
versa. I wouldn't want any recording medium to depend on that feature to
catch my favorite programs.
