And, GE is now the largest diesel-electric locomotive manufacturer, 
possibly on the strength of its much more favorable financing terms, 
through GE Capital Corp.

Largest, but not necessarily the best.

GE locomotives are considered to be minimally repairable, as GE refuses 
to sell most repair parts.

OTOH, GM's former Electro-Motive Division will sell you any part
