[BC] Contacting the FAA

File a FAA Form 7460-1 with the FAA. They'll get back to you in 30 days
with the study #, then about 45 days later with a determination.

Don't bother calling any of the regional offices. You won't get any
definitive answers on the phone as everyone operates on a voice mail basis
to filter out chafe calls. Which yours would be considered and won't be
returned. If you do get a warm body to speak with, they will essentially
state the above...file the 7460 and they'll get back to you.

There have been a number of changes to the way a 7460 is filed. If you are
not familiar with the process or have the credentials for on-line filing, I
would suggest using a consultant or contractor to make the filing.

Trust me here Scott. Been there...done that many times.
