Back when I got started in the biz, RCA had the biggest booth at NAB.
Now
it's just a consumer brand name being sold by one company to another.
It's
now being sold by Thomsen to Audiovox.

Basically Western Electric Broadcast Division of AT&T was the major
competition to RCA in the earliest days of broadcasting. I think Federal Radio &
Television in the USA was also one of the earlys.

It would be an interesting history

Western Electric sold a 6B transmitter to Radio Station WRR & the City of
Dallas, Texas in 1929. I know Western Electric existed before that day in
Broadcasting with WEAF in New York City.

WLW, 50 kW from Western Electric what year? Model # ?

RCA Earliest AM transmitters?? KFI's first RCA 50 kW what year?
