This has been one of my points related to EAS for a long time..
Especially targeted towards those who say we don't need a working EAS
system since the news can cover it better.
Emergencies don't always happen when everyone is in the building.
Now don't mis construe that I think the president dying was an EAS
event, it's not. The point is simply that had this been an EAS type
event, news crews would have been unable to cover in time. If a
Network in New York City can be caught unstaffed, anyone can.
