I don't believe the news broke until this afternoon, though, and that's
what counts for obits, right?

NPR finally deigned to mention the story in its 5 PM hourly cast (after
I'd already mentioned it in one of our local breaks at 4:19 :-)

CBSNews.com has it up on their website, so at least they're aware of it...
