 Some car radios already attempt something similar with their pre-set
 EQ settings for various programming types.
 That's basicly free in software, but I'd be surprised if the radio manufacturers
 would add the expense of compression, clipping, and such, for the one
 or maybe two consumers who would use it.
 Whatever happened to the old "loudness" button on some radios ?

 It seems that putting the processor in the listener's radio would be ideal,
 but it wouldn't.
 How many listeners would care, and how many broadcasters would lament
 that they can't control what they now do ?
 It might appeal to a few purists, but beyond that, I don't see it having
 any practicality at all.

 Just an opinion.....
