I received my HDT-1 2 weeks ago and I like it! Paid $110.00, incl. shipping
direct from Sangean in Calif. Sangean is offering this deal to broadcasters.
You can buy up to 3 of a HDT-1 and an HDR-1. Ask for Selwyn. www.sangean.com
The unit has nice audio quality on my big system. It is easy to use. I have
no complaints on the sensitivity. I can't get WJR(AM) in HD, but they are 65
miles away (as the crow flies).
I have nothing to compare it with...never used a BA.
The audio quality surprised me. It is certainly "good enough."
I hear more problems due to lack of processing or poor processing.
Two shortcomings (for pros only)
1. You can't lock the it into analog mode.
2. You can't put analog on one channel and digital on the other (for time
alignment).
also, I locked it up once or twice after a serious button-pushing session.
Had to drop the power to restore audio.
Oh well, nothing is perfekt!
