All I have to say is YAY! Its been a long time coming.
For all of the Extras who will belittle the new extras that will get their
upgrade...I say to you.. The CODE is a MODE and is by no means a benchmark
for excellence. Make the tests harder! From what I've heard on the low bands
recently, the code is certainly not a filter for the unscrupulous... Bravo
FCC. Time to go pass my test at the next VE session...looks good next to all
the other "wallpaper" :)

This should have been done 30+ years ago. CW has a place
and is quite useful in picking out signal from the noise, but it's
no longer the proper "entrance exam" to amateur radio.
Actually, the proper entrance exam would consist of math,
electronics and gentlemanly behavior, none of which exist
today in the exams, to any significant degree anyway.
