This depends upon the situation....
If someone is relying upon a quarter century old transmitter for ther
'revenue' then they shoud expect to LOSE sme of that revenue from time to
time....just like a travelling salesman should not rely upon an old car to
reliably get him to is customers.
Support costs companies a lot....and free support costs even more.
A reasonable compromise would be to stock parts as long as practical, and
charge a reasonable rate for telephone support to support rigs that are more
then ten years old.
In Nautel's case, I knw the would do even more, as their support is
superb....

To answer that question, no matter what time of night or what power
level the station is broadcasting at or authorized to, if the
situation could *potentially* cause them lose revenue, then you
provide whatever support necessary!
