I do understand you point but the conflict was not (then) within the
radio station it was (supposedly) between the mean "Old Censers" and the
radio station and all those they represented in the battle for free
music expression. In that sense I guess the ominous thought of the
fairness doctrine swings over the head of freedom similarly to Sward of
Damocles but I do not really hear anyone exploiting that notion.
