Craig is apparantly speaking of commercial 'talk' radio. Unfortunately, most listeners to that format take what is said all too seriously. They actually make decisions on what they hear from Rus L. or Al F. Ewww....

Craig's station in Harrison, MI, was formerly an NCE talk station on which there was not talk but dialogue. That approach to discussion attracts only 6-8% of listeners at best. Ewww....

With all due respect Robert that is like mandating a music station to play a country song after each pop song. Talk radio is 10% information and 90% entertainment, don't forget that! As with music stations; people will listen to that which they wish to hear. As Herbert Bayard Swope is famous for saying " I can't give you a sure-fire formula for success, but I can give you a formula for failure: try to please everybody all the time."
