So I guess that means they generate their own power to run those stations.
My guess is they will update them and they will become an unreliable 
maintenance nightmare.

on 25 Hz AC power, and the city is debating whether to repair the
25 Hz equipment damaged by Katrina, or to replace it with modern

For the old-timers here... were any vintage radio transmitters
(Gates, RCA, etc.) certified to run on 25 Hz AC power?
