Webforums are more difficult to manage and archive than e-mail?? I
don't see that at all. All posts can be archived indefinitely- some
forums I visit have archives going back years with search functions to
find specific topics or authors. All posts relating to a particular
discussion are kept congregated together so you can view them in
context without all the endless quoting that goes on in email. You can
easily skip over topics that you're not interested in, and see photos
and charts without downloading risky attachments. As someone who has
used both webforums and email lists for years, I think webforums win
hands down.
