[BC] Vertical or Horizontal

This was one of Lew Weztels' findings, not mine -- but I'll pass the
question along to him if you want.

My interpretation is that he observed an increase in signal strength
in shadowed areas (using a horizontal receive antenna) after the
vertical component was added to a horizontal-only transmit facility.
