" KOMA was a great station.  Remember the 
nighttime spots for the band "Baby"? "Tonight 
Baby appears in Amarillo..." Then every evening 
at 6, the old 50's sung jingle appeared..."some 
records heard, or given away"...were provided 
through the promotional consideration of record 
companies, artists and distributors.

My favorite was the "KOMA Kissing Tone."  I'd love to have a copy of that to
play at my next high school reunion.  The daytimer top-40 here was KIMM.  At
night, KOMA came in best.  Sometimes WLS or KAAY were listenable.  Now, KOKC
(was KOMA) on 1520 KHz, has a terrible signal up here.  Don't know why.
