[BC] latency issues on network connection (Instreamer-Exstreamer)

Chuck, you say you have variable latency .. try to reconfigure the devices 
to use RTP (see our STL and instreamer/exstreamer guides in our download 
section). With RTP, our software can manage the receive buffer to be 
constant and low - with a 128k stream you should not have more than 500ms 
latency (assuming your network connection is reasonably fast) and it 
should be pretty much constant.
If you use tcp and/or shoutcast/icecast servers, then you have much less 
control over the latency.
