Are you sure it wasn't 1 reflector and 3 directors ?
That just makes more sense on the surface of it.

There was only one fed tower.  The others had networks and were tuned.  The 
fed tower would make sand into molten glass.

ALso the  Bonaire site on 800 kHz.  uses parasitically excited towers for I 
believe three patterns,
