Not only are the various parts of the grid on the same
frequency, they are PHASE-locked!

You are totally correct Jim.

Think about it, once you parallel your jenny with the power company you are
phase locked automatically.
You can't push the grid with your small jenny.  The only way you can push
power into the grid is by increasing the voltage to your generators exciter,
which will increase its output voltage but now you are limited to the
jenny's current capacity and the line feeding your power company.  Like
peeing in the river to make it rise.
