[BC] Old Farts

I started my electronics training for nine months, six hours a day, in 1960
@ Keesler AFB, MS.

We were about the third class to receive transistor theory training, based
on the theory of moving "holes" in a semiconductor material.

We were given a lot of tube theory with tube charts and load lines and
amplifier designs.

We didn't have any mockups for doing any transistor training, we were just
taught the theory.

In the "Sets" maintenance portion of training where we got hands on training
on the sets we were to maintain everything was tube type.

The closest thing we got to solid state were selenium rectifiers.
